We are looking for Financial Accounting Supervisor to support the managing partners on practice compliance and the financial operations of the company. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits and opportunities for growth. This is a day shift -you are required to work on-site full time. You will be reporting to the manager and owner. The Financial Accounting Supervisor will manage the accounting receivables, payables, financial statements, financial documents, property management accountings, invoicing, and financial documentation required for the supports of our company. This selected candidate should have relevant work experience (ideally in a professional real-estate management services firm) and experienced with financial accounting fundamentals and software. Essential Duties & Responsibilities as the Financial Accounting Supervisor Your key responsibilities will include: Implement and maintain efficient working processes and coordinate, assign, and review the overall accounts payable division and payable invoice and other documents and establish deadlines for process vendor payables to ensure that accounts payable setoff timely. Continuously oversee and evaluate the accounts payable process to identify opportunities for improvement. Oversee and implement procedures for accounts receivable tasks with accounting receivable division, review the invoices and verify invoice accuracy and the collection in the property management system. Review the accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and compliance & continuously evaluate the accounts receivable process to identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for residential, and commercial properties. Processing property owner’s payment at the end of the month via EFT/PAP or cheques. Establish cash flows procedures and monitor cash flows for each property and ensure adequate liquidity for operating needs. Review and validate the accuracy of tasks and approve regular disbursements, deposits, and additional dealings. Set up work timetables procedures and coordinate activities with Property managers and other departments. Maintain the efficient functioning of the accounting system for property management. Address financial accounting issues with coordinating Property managers and generate progress reports for submission. Maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. Assess the requirements for training and provide necessary instructions to accounting personnel and performance supervision when needed, and when new employee is hired. Required Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies: Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field At least 2 years of related experience in accounting, financial controls firms, and in bookkeeping roles. Accounting/bookkeeping experience within the real-estate industry will be considered an asset. Superior Microsoft Office Suite skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong problem-solving skills and resolution capabilities Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and multitasking ability Must be accurate, organized, and highly detailed-oriented. Ability to direct and supervise. Able to work with minimum supervision. Work conditions and physical capabilities Work under pressure and Repetitive tasks.
