London Drugs is looking for an experienced and highly capable security and investigations professional for our Loss Prevention team. You will find state of the art technology, training and support, and a high integrity group of people committed to excellence on our team.Opportunity:Loss Prevention Officer 2 - Full TimeResponsibilitiesThe Loss Prevention Officer 2 position is well suited for a highly capable security and investigations professional.Duties include:Shifts at store locations conducting surveillance, investigation, and maintenance of loss prevention systemsIdentifying areas of loss and working on team shrink reduction plansDetection and apprehension of persons committing criminal offences against the companyActing as a leader contributing to the training and support of the area loss prevention teamActing as an investigative resource able to investigate complex external cases and assist the head office investigations teamSecuring evidence, report writing & document preparation for court testifying purposesSpecial assignments including lock repair, key control, staff awareness and orientationMaintaining the overall security of our locationsQualificationsWe have an extensive in-house training program (in BC we are an accredited BST training provider). While we are eager to develop our people, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:Demonstrated ability to stay calm and respond with good judgment in emergency situationsA commitment and history of protecting people and property in a safe and legal mannerDemonstrated ability to work under strict confidentialityHigh ethical standards and a commitment to personal and professional integrityGood command of the English language, both written and verbal, required for report writing and court testimonyA valid Class 5 driver’s license and own vehicleAvailability and willingness to work at all locations and surrounding areasPrevious Loss Prevention experience or other related experience within the Criminal Justice system would be an assetPrevious security related education, professional accreditation, first aid and first responder training is an assetUse of force and restraining device training is an assetProvincial security worker license, or the ability to obtain one before commencing workAvailability RequirementThis is a Full Time position.
