Job Description The Manager, Vendor Management is accountable for the oversight and performance management of Claims vendor partners. The Manager will oversee multiple external vendor relationships that are significant in scope, complexity, and criticality for all business lines, specifically Property Vendor Partners while supporting other business lines. The Manager supports the development and oversight of the Claims Vendor Management Guideline, including vendor governance, performance management, vendor innovation opportunities, intake and prioritization process, inquiry, vetting and analysis, pipeline/roadmap alignment, strategic alignment, engagement, and overall contract management. Supports the Claims Leadership Team in translating department strategies into the management of partner performance and selection. Develops vendor management strategies to improve performance, drive customer experience, and create commercial value. Strategically represents the business interests in the partnership, clearly articulating the business performance expectations and the total value proposition of the relationship to vendor partners and key Claims leaders and stakeholders. Oversees strategic workforce management for the function, including resource planning, retention management, succession management, and informs and appropriately leverages Definity's recruiting strategy. Collaboration with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams. Strategic workforce planning and resource management. What do you bring to the role? Post‑secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of vendor management programs and processes. 5–10 years of progressive experience within Vendor Management and/or Procurement. Experience in Vendor Performance Models, partner segmentation and governance. Highly influential with excellent communication skills. Highly adaptable and able to perform through periods of change. Experience working on high‑performance teams. Insurance Operations experience an asset. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships. 60% travel flexibility. Salary range: $77,100 - $142,000.
