Position Summary The Business Development Specialists will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, focusing on either B2B (with an emphasis on top‑tier custom home builders and commercial construction projects) or residential renovation sales. These roles involve prospecting, client visits, bid preparation, and managing new account relationships, as well as local travel and an independent, client‑focused approach. Key Responsibilities Find, identify, and qualify new leads and business opportunities across target markets. Meet face to face with the appropriate stakeholders to present our window and door solutions. Pursue and prepare quotes or bids (B2B will involve large‑scale commercial, new‑build, and supply‑only projects; residential will require quotes built for homeowners). Develop and maintain strong relationships. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate interest and leads. Collaborate with the internal team to develop tailored proposals and presentations for prospective clients. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to refine outreach strategies. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline updates in SalesForce. Work closely with installation and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications 3+ years of business development or sales experience, preferably in construction, building products, or home improvement sectors. For the B2B role, strong knowledge of commercial project bidding and tendering processes. Proven ability to develop client relationships and close deals. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self‑starter with strong organizational and time‑management abilities. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within designated regions. Legal entitlement to work in Canada. Working Conditions and Legal Compliance Hours of Work: Full‑time, typically Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. Some evening or weekend availability may be required for client visits or trade shows. Travel: Local travel throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area is a core part of the role. Mileage reimbursement, vehicle allowance, or company vehicle provided per company policy.
