This program provides $25,000 in grant funding to eligible RPNs, RNs, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurse Educators in exchange for a two-year full‑time commitment. The Nurse Educator is responsible for coordinating orientation and ongoing education for the Operating Room and Central Processing Department. In partnership with other Nurse Educators, you will support the ongoing orientation and education plans of the Operating Rooms and Central Processing Department staff, and support the development and maintenance of skills for members of the Operating Room and Central Processing Department. You will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team and other clinical educator resources to design educational initiatives and programs that build professional, evidence‑based practice and improve patient outcomes. As a member of the Organizational Development and Learning Services Team, you will act as a creative and supportive change agent in collaboration with leaders and teams. Essential Qualifications Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field Two (2) years recent Operating Room experience Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA Demonstrated excellence in providing effective outcome‑oriented performance coaching to individuals and groups following the principles of adult learning Demonstrated excellence in assessing learning needs and in the design and delivery of learning strategies Demonstrates expert critical thinking and problem solving Strong organizational, consultation and negotiation skills Evidence of continuous learning and use of literature in nursing practice Excellence in managing multiple projects Proven leadership abilities, initiative and self‑directedness Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to use SurgiNet Demonstrated computer skills including advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Experience in supporting colleagues to manage change effectively Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in French would be an asset CPN (C) Certificate or Diploma in Adult Learning from an Accredited Educational Institution Teaching and Research St. Joseph's Health Care London, through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College, is a leading research and teaching hospital.
