Manager | Clinical Operations – Interior Health Authority Location: Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada. Interior Health is hiring a Manager, Clinical Operations to oversee the Williams Lake Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) services. This is a Term Specific Full Time position until the return of incumbent. The Manager, Clinical Operations is accountable for ensuring excellence in the provision of patient‑centered care within a defined clinical area(s). The role provides leadership and direction for the operations, management, utilization, risk management, and quality improvement within the assigned area(s), applying management theory and concepts to leading, staffing, monitoring, evaluating, and data gathering, including developing relevant outcome measures. What will you work on? Provide leadership for clinical practice by seeking out and identifying best practices in patient care, ensuring appropriate structures, systems, and culture to facilitate ongoing development of a best‑practice model of care. Evaluate effectiveness of care provided and seek mechanisms to ensure standards are met consistently; respond to patient care issues and public concerns in a supportive and goal‑oriented manner. Facilitate and direct the development, implementation, and evaluation of unit‑specific goals, objectives, standards, and policies, ensuring consistency with Interior Health’s established standards and objectives. Maintain fiscal accountability by collecting and monitoring necessary fiscal and utilization data, analyzing data appropriately, ensuring effective use of resources, monitoring the budget(s), identifying variances, and taking corrective action to maintain expenditures within approved budgets. Participate in the development and implementation of local quality improvement and risk management initiatives for patient care services in accordance with Interior Health standards and processes.
