Story Behind the Need:

• Client’s Global Technology & Enterprise Platforms (GTEP) – Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) manages the development, execution and performance of GTEP’s strategy and roadmap.
• We ensure a stable, secure and efficient infrastructure and service delivery, that protects the customer experience and supports business growth.
• We lead efforts around performance, optimization and innovation, best practice portfolio management, GTEP financial management and transparency, and GTEP employee experience excellence.
• The Technology Program Office reports into the SPO and is responsible for the delivery of GTEP Strategic Initiatives.
• This includes Project/Program Management, Project Life-Cycle Planning, KPI Reporting and Benefits Realization.
• We provide an end-to-end view of all Global Strategic Programs and liaise with key IT Corporate Functions.
• The team is seeking an IT Project Manager to who will be working with the technical team on the EOL migrations to support the project schedule.

Typical Day in Role:

• Manage project level communications and reporting to all stakeholders; provides leadership with timely updates on project status and issues.
• Plan and execute projects as per Enterprise Delivery Framework methodology.
• Accountable for end-to-end delivery and management of technical migrations of highly complex strategic infrastructure technology programs and initiatives, spanning multiple business lines and geographic regions.
• Work with the development (technical) leads to establish and document release plans and communicate those plans to all necessary participants.
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure migration releases are delivered on-time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders across Engineering, Architecture, Solution Management, Risk, Governance, Finance and external business partners to address forward looking partner engagements.
• Work with technology owners to ensure risk assessments are completed and that contingency plans are identified and executed.
• Submit and manage change records via ServiceNow.
• Manage project level communications to all stakeholders; provides leadership with timely updates on project status and issues.
• Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews and business Go/No-Go reviews.
• Participate in the development of project management and change management plans that incorporate all business, technology and operational aspects of the project.

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills (5 maximum):

• 10+ years of Project Management experience working with high scale, enterprise-wide projects.
• Experience with infrastructure migrations for EOL (end-of-life) equipment.
• Technical understanding of migration activities, analysis and ACI technology.
• Experience working with external vendors.
• Experience with and knowledge of formal project and program management methodologies is expected.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Financial services and, specifically, banking experience, is highly desired.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communications skills to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders and deliver presentations/demos.
• Proven experience effectively manage senior stakeholder relationships, building credibility and trust.
• Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction.
• Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective influence and negotiation skills.

Best vs. Average Candidate:

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communicator and negotiator.

Education:

• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field is an asset.

• Candidate should be prepared to discuss previous experience/projects. The interview will assess both soft skills and technical skills.
