We have a key opportunity for an Estimator to join our team in London or Warwick Township. We are looking for a team player with solid communication skills (both verbal and written). A driven individual with a passion for the contractor environment If you are in civil engineering or construction management, have excellent organizational and analytical skills, and are committed to building strong business relationships with clients and sub-contractors, we have an opportunity for you Benefits include: $90,000 + annual salary Group benefit plan Wellness program RRSP program with employer match Education reimbursement Opportunities for advancement Excellent vacation package Potential for performance bonus Company cell phone and laptop Key Responsibilities include: Prepare construction estimates based on quotations, drawings, and specifications. Complete takeoff and bid compilation using B2W Estimate. Assist in preparation of pre-construction and construction services proposals. Examine and analyze tenders and make recommendations. Follow the company cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Liaise, consult, and communicate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Research and analyze cost data for review and presentation. Assisting with Project Schedules. Adhere to all company policies and procedures while following OHSA and construction regulations. Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience include: Civil Engineering or Construction Management diploma is an asset. 3+ years experience in construction industry, ort similar industry is a must. Proven experience in estimating within the civil construction industry. Computer skills and software experience including Microsoft Office Applications. Experience with Bid2Win, Heavy Bid, is an asset. Experience with ERP programs such as Maestro is an asset. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical skills and attention to details. Knowledge of MTO book 7 Traffic Control Requirements. Experience with hazard assessments and controls in the construction industry. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
