OverviewSupply Chain Manager role at Bimeda. The role is focused on overseeing and optimizing site supply chain operations across purchasing, inventory control, and production planning. Key deliverables include on-time delivery of materials from suppliers and finished products to customers, while optimizing the production plan and inventory levels. The role works closely with the Plant Manager and engages with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Regulatory, R&D, QC, and QA. Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and applicable regulations is essential.ResponsibilitiesManage site purchasers and the site planner, providing mentorship and support to achieve annual goals.Develop and challenge team members to be high performers through development and training.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on supply chain performance.Ensure clear communication and effective coordination across departments.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.Identify risks within the supply chain and implement mitigation strategies.PurchasingReview and approve all direct purchases for raw materials, packaging, and critical components.Maintain and strengthen relationships with key suppliers through regular communication.Ensure purchasing policies support on-time, in-full deliveries aligned with the production schedule.Optimize purchasing parameters in the ERP system (QAD), manage order quantities, lead times, QC timelines, and maintain safety stock.Define purchasing policies and maintain MRP data accuracy.Provide annual purchasing forecasts to suppliers to meet anticipated demand.Develop and implement actions to improve OTIF, PPV, inventory, and turnover metrics.Production Planning and SchedulingManage production planning for three lines, aligning rolling 18-month and detailed 3-month plans with monthly S&OP.Coordinate with Commercial and site management to ensure the 18-month schedule meets demand.Minimize production schedule changes due to material availability.Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure timely release of raw materials and packaging to support production and finished product releases.Inventory ManagementManage inventory levels to ensure material availability for production in line with targets.Maintain inventory status (OK, REJECT, REEVAL, etc.) in a timely manner.Identify and reduce slow-moving inventory.Develop and track inventory metrics and drive continuous improvement.CompetenciesBuilding RelationshipsLeadershipEffective CommunicationExecution/AccountabilityCustomer FocusRequirementsEssentialMinimum of 5 years in progressive supply chain roles in a regulated environment.Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, supply chain, operations, finance, or related field.Minimum 5 years in a managerial role.Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and MRPStrong inventory control experience and analytical skillsComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong understanding of procurement contracts and regulationsStrong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skillsCollaborative leader able to interact with all levels of the organizationStrong verbal and written English communicationDesirableKnowledge of pharmaceutical cGMP and regulatory frameworks (FDA, EU, Health Canada)Knowledge of APIs, excipients, and packaging in pharmaProject management experienceCSCP or CPIM certificationCSCMP membershipWhat We OfferCompetitive salary13 paid holidaysCompetitive vacation policy5 paid personal care daysMedical, dental, vision, STD & LTD benefitsDefined Contribution Pension plan with employer matching 5%Employee Assistance ProgramAbout BimedaBimeda is a leading global innovator, manufacturer and marketer of veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal health products with over half a century of experience.
