OverviewNeighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Chaparral Remedy Rx in Calgary, AB.Patient Focused Care ResponsibilitiesSupport pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient careKnowledge of prescription processing and pharmacy workflowBasic understanding of medications, dosage forms, and common pharmacy terminology.Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional mannerAssist with entering, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technicianAccurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocolsReceive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory auditsKeep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulationsPerform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfersAssist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assignedQualificationsCompletion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferredPrevious experience within a pharmacy is an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software KrollAbility to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containersWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive wagesPaid vacationComprehensive health and dental benefitsOpportunity for career growth and professional development supportAvailabilityMondays to Thursdays 9am-6pmFridays 9am-5pmWho We AreNeighbourly Pharmacy is Canada’s largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
