THIS IS A 24-MONTHS FIXED-TERM, FULL-TIME POSITION (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION OR PERMANENCY) THIS POSITION IS BASED IN KENSINGTON APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION CLOSE AT MIDDAY ON TUESDAY, 20 JANUARY 2026 Job Description The Recreation and Trails Unit coordinates and assists in the management of trails including the Bibbulman Track, Munda Biddi Trail and Cape to Cape Track. We develop and nurture partnerships with community organisations in support of the department’s management of sustainable trails and recreational activities. We currently have an opportunity for a Parks and Visitor Services Officer to join our team. Under the direction of the Coordinator Recreation and Trails Unit (RTU), this position forms part of the primary point of contact for public enquiries regarding the department’s management of recreational activities and trails, events, park alerts and support for the day-to-day management of the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi Trail and Cape to Cape Track. In this role, you will demonstrate to help drive positive change. Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. Well-developed computer literacy skills (word processing, spreadsheets and databases). Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, with minimal supervision. Experience and personal interest in sustainable outdoor recreation and trails in natural landscapes.
