CANDU Energy Inc./ AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. is actively seeking a qualified Senior Civil Designer to support engineering roles for nuclear projects in major areas, such as new build in the province of Ontario, international new builds, refurbishment, and continuous plant operation support modifications for nuclear power plants. Responsibilities Reviewing the status of existing buildings prior to project design, performing site take offs. Assist in developing designs and technical specifications for systems such as heating, air conditioning, ventilation, boilers, plumbing, chilled water, building controls, along with other related systems. Assisting others in the office with several projects – a knowledge sharing atmosphere. Preparing drawings and construction documents. Coordinating system requirements with the electrical department, architects, relevant authorities. Conducting site visits and inspections to review progress of construction. Qualifications College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 10 years in mechanical design and drafting. Proficient in Revit, possess extensive experience and working knowledge in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Raster Design, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Smart Plant 3D/Smart, MicroStation, Navisworks Manage, and Tekla. Ability to take marked up engineering drawings and incorporate changes into AutoCAD files. ASME Code knowledge considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment as well as independently.
