The IT Security Analyst is responsible for managing risk related to information technology (IT) security consistent with our client’s business objectives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and update information security frameworks (policies, guidelines and standards)Perform security threat and risk analysis (TRA)Evaluate, document and follow up on anomalies in information security frameworksKeep tabs on threats and new trends in information securityPerform port scans to establish a baselineDefine and create policy around unauthorized/outdated softwareCreate vulnerability reportsImplement patches as requiredEnsure antivirus software and policies are up to dateMonitor systems operations and manage network securityRequirementsExperience in managing vulnerability and security incident managementRecognized information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SABSA) an assetGood knowledge of network security principles and infrastructuresProficient in the setup of security implementations (ACL, Port Security)Previous experience with vulnerability scanning toolsExcellent understanding of information systems frameworkProven experience in supporting multi-platform systems and related applicationsExperience with Linux Servers an assetExperience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) an assetExperience with port security and scanning software/hardwareExperience with patch managementAntivirus/anti-spyware managementSystems security managementGood understanding of IP and TCP/IPExperience with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) an assetThis is a 6 month contract role located in Toronto, ON #J-18808-Ljbffr
