Job Information Job Code: 20190 Status: Temporary Full Time (up to 6 months) Location: Providence Care Hospital Union: OPSEU 4104 Service Clerical Wage: $31.41 - $32.39 Posting Period: October 28, 2025 - November 6, 2025 Position Summary Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant (PTA/OTA) is responsible and accountable to provide person-centered care for assigned patients/clients under the direction and supervision of the regulated health professional (supervising clinician) and performs associated functions to support service delivery. As a member of a team, the PTA/OTA participates in profession-specific and interprofessional activities that are directed towards a person-centered environment and contribute to operational efficiency and professional and program development. Within this role, the PTA/OTA may work autonomously in a variety of settings, including the community, providing services to patients/clients and families by following the treatment plan developed and assigned by the supervising clinician. Thorough knowledge of scope of practice and of the role and standards of practice of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists is critical in this role.
