Job Opportunity Mental Health Supervisor One Full-Time Contract to January 2028 (with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent) Location: Aurora, Ontario L4G 3S9 (must be within a commutable daily distance from the office and/or service area) Status: Contract, Full‑Time Starting Hourly Rate: $38.51/hour Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (35 hours per week) Office Expectations: Work in the office minimum once per week in addition to in‑office meetings, trainings, and supervisions Posting Closes: Wednesday, December 17 at 4:00 pm EST Job Description This role is to provide clinical support and supervision to Mental Health Case Managers who provide comprehensive community‑based case management for adults in York Region and South Simcoe. The Supervisor acts as a resource and support to case workers in assessing client needs and identifying problem‑solving strategies for complex or critical service situations in conjunction with their manager. The Supervisor also participates in the development of community resources and creative strategies to address mental health crisis and service system issues. In addition, the Supervisor will collaborate with consumers, community partners, and the public and participate on committees in response to increasing the quality of life for individuals served. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in social work or related discipline (i.e., Health Sciences) Minimum five years related experience Minimum of two years supervisory experience required Experience in providing clinical support to staff in an individual and group setting Sound knowledge of the population and pertinent legislation Knowledge and significant use of Recovery principles and Psychosocial Rehabilitation practices Second language is considered an asset An understanding of cultural diversity is considered an asset Police clearance that meets agency standards Valid G Driver's License, access to reliable transportation, or alternative transport means Proof of COVID‑19 vaccine authorized by WHO or exemption documentation under Human Rights Code Benefits & Work Environment YSSN offers a supportive, inclusive, and flexible work environment with hybrid work options, professional development opportunities, wellness programs, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
