These are the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota and Saulteaux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis.The bigger pictureAs a Financial Advisor, Lending you will be responsible for understanding the financial goals of your assigned portfolio of members and supporting their achievement. This includes the offering and fulfillment of financial services and products. As part of this role, you will specialize in all things consumer lending. This temporary role supports members in both Bethune and Holdfast communities, so travel is required. And this term contract will end in November 2027.How you’ll be spending your timeMember Experience and SalesProactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions to support their achievement through the provision of introductory financial planningProvide account and lending products, within scope of position, to meet member needs:Memberships and accounts including lines of creditComplex consumer lending productsCredit CardsSafety deposit boxesMobile banking solutionsDay to day banking needsConduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value and function of our products and servicesIncrease retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject matter experts, based on needs, and follow-up to ensure member satisfactionCompliance and Organizational SupportEnsure complete, accurate and timely documentationAdhere to security and operational policies, procedures and operational controlsEnsure healthy balance between opportunity & risk and between growth & profitability (e.g. through understanding and application of profitability margins in rate negotiation, fee subsidies, etc.)Positively represent Conexus internally and externally to support the growth of our membership and to enhance credit union system support and collaborationProactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficienciesProvide support, assistance and backup as required for retail teamThe way people describe youYou’re great with people, a keen listener and a skilled coach.
