Responsibilities Participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers. Prepare Health and safety plans and Emergency response plans. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for reports, write reports including preparing conclusions and recommendations. Responsible for project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP's Master Services Agreements. Train junior staff in environmental practices and conduct site visits to ensure safety and technical requirements are meeting our high standards. Interface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward with quality at the forefront. Work with and provide support to other members of the Remediation Program Management in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion and client service responsibilities. Qualifications University degree or college diploma in engineering or environmental sciences. Minimum 5 years of experience in contaminated site assessments; downstream experience is considered an asset. Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace. Possess a safety conscious attitude. Strong field experience is considered an asset. Understanding of the BC Environmental Management Act/Contaminated Sites Regulation.
