Position: Shift Security Supervisor Site: North York General Hospital Finch Hours: Continental 12‑hour Rotation (0700-1900/1900-0700) Pay Rate: $21.85/hr Overtime Eligibility: Averaging Agreement after 88 Hours Internal Posting Date: December 22, 2025 Internal Closing Date: December 31, 2025 External Closing Date: January 6, 2026 Key Responsibilities Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training. Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift. Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and site‑specific security policies and procedures. Plans and implements shift work schedules. Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training. Motivates staff and issues commendations. Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office. Performs security audits. Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints. Provides proactive and reactive security patrols. Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager. Prerequisites Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider COVID Vaccine two doses Proof of up to date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two‑step Tuberculosis skin test Valid G class Driver's License Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training Vulnerable Sector Check Minimum 1 year of healthcare supervisory experience preferred Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure. Proven ability to train, direct, and motivate staff. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Legally authorized to work in Canada Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position. Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre‑employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6‑month commitment to the position/availability.
