About the CompanyOur client is a lifestyle brand. They are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting cycle. This includes providing support to the broader finance team in areas such as inventory valuation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, month end close, and payroll. The Accounting Manager will be an expert in full cycle accounting, financial reporting (US/CA GAAP, IFRS, and ASPE), as well as external audit management. They will also contribute to critical projects that impact the company’s long-term success such as annual budgeting and project ROIs.Why Work HereWork with a fantastic CPA, CA bossOpportunity to build processes, efficiencies and manage a teamWork for a very recognizable brandAbout the OpportunityLead month-end close reconciliations and analysis, preparing audit-ready working papers with clear variance explanationsOversee inventory accounting, cost control, and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate reportingPrepare financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into store, department, and regional performance for senior managementEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, including preparation of financial statements and review of related tax filingsDevelop, document, and implement business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and enable automationSupport the external audit process by providing timely documentation and responsesAssist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and decision-makingPartner with cross-functional teams on process improvements and business-critical projects to drive profitabilityMentor and coach members of the finance teamPerform other related duties as assignedAbout YouMinimum of five years of progressive finance/accounting experienceCanadian CPA designation required, with a strong understanding of ASPE and Canadian GAAPExperience in a public accounting firm and audit environment; retail industry experience is highly desirableStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel) and accounting software (NetSuite preferred)Proven leadership experience with strong team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesSalary Range: $110,000 - $115,000/yearTo apply, please submit your resume in MS Word or Rich Text format.
