We collaborate as a team and celebrate each other’s successes.Here’s to crafting careers and creating new legacies.Crafted Highlights:In the role of Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the financial accounting and reporting activities of the teams.The role is based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and reports to our Supply Chain Finance Manager. The Financial Analyst position supports the St. John’s and Moncton Breweries and Atlantic distribution network performing various functions within and outside of finance and is responsible for financial reporting, providing accounting and reporting guidance, technical accounting research and financial reporting system maintenance to enable internal and external financial reporting and analysis.What You’ll be brewing:Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages including P&L, variance analysis, and forecastingPreparation of weekly internal reporting packagesApplication of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts to help drive business resultsApplication of accounting principles and internal controls to provide objective, timely, and accurate financial information to meet/exceed financial reporting requirements and to help drive business resultsSupport annual budgeting process, liaising with business partners as required to drive budget completionPreparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure proper consolidated financial reportingPreparing monthly remittances of excise taxes, MMSB recycling fees and provincial liquor board commissions and coordinate annual audits and queriesManage non-product billings processPerform monthly Accounts Receivable clearing processSupport audit requirements and tracking deliverables with external and internal auditorsPreparation of statutory reporting and statements for excise tax and Statistics Canada surveysSupport payroll schedulingWork with SAP requisitions and purchase ordersAd hoc reporting and assisting our business partners as requiredYou have a diploma or equivalent experience (2+ years) in the field of accountingYou have strong analytical ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problemsYou have solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controlYou have knowledge of SAP which is a plusYou have strong ability to work independently and within cross functional teamsYou have strong Excel, communication and leadership skillsYou love a challenge and complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business prioritiesYou build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcomeYou take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitmentsYou have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for to learn and help one another growYou exhibit your core valuesWe care about our People and Planet and have challenged ourselves with stretch goals around our key prioritiesWe care about our communities, and play our part to make a difference – from charitable donations to hitting the streets together to build parks, giving back to the community is part of our culture and who we areEngagement with a variety of Employee Resource Groups can provide volunteer opportunities, leadership experience, and networking through the organizationAbility to grow and develop your career centered around our First Choice Learning opportunitiesParticipation in our Total Rewards program with a competitive base salary, incentive plans, parental leave, health, dental, vision, company pension with incredible employer match, generous paid time off plans, an engaging Wellness Program, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with amazing resourcesAccess to cool brand clothing and swag, top events and, of course… free beer and beveragesWork within a fast‑paced and innovative company, meeting passionate colleagues and partners with diverse backgrounds and experiencesBenefits include 15 days vacation, 10 paid holidays, and 64 hours of sick time.Molson Coors is an equal opportunity employer.
