Our Edson division in Edson, Alberta, is recruiting for a Certified Journeyperson Trades Position.We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated and proactive tradesperson to join our maintenance team here at Edson Forest Products.As a key player in our sawmill maintenance team, you will be responsible to ensure the ongoing functionality and safety of our machinery and equipment.You'll Do:Welding and gouging on a wide range of equipment and machineryPerforming repairs and rebuilding mill componentsFabrication and welding of multiple material typesAssisting other trades throughout the millEnsuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all timesConducting routine inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptlyImplementing preventive maintenance strategies to extend the lifespan of machineryYou have:Ability to work independently and efficiently, with strong problem-solving skillsProven experience in maintenance within a sawmill or similar industrial settingAbility to read drawings and identify equipment componentsProficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipmentFlexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requestsStrong understanding of safety protocols and procedures within an industrial settingAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleaguesGood with working at heightsGreat troubleshooting skillsYour Workplace Location:Experience the allure of Edson, Alberta, with this exciting opportunity in the heart of Yellowhead County.
