Responsibilities Deliver diagnostic testing services to both inpatient and ambulatory clients. Perform a full range of arterial and venous ultrasound studies and physiologic tests daily. Obtain appropriate clinical history for all studies, analyze with prior patient information, and select the most appropriate study protocol. Interpret and document both urgent and non‑urgent results, provide preliminary reports, and consult with referring physicians and/or vascular surgeons. Work effectively as a member of an interprofessional team to provide comprehensive patient care. Contribute to the organization’s academic mandate as an educator, resource, or support for staff, students, and the professional community. Identify and address educational needs for patients and their families. Commit to ongoing professional development to maintain optimal patient care. Participate in ongoing quality improvement within the organization. Provide patient care in accordance with all professional and organizational standards. Qualifications Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required. Current registration as a Sonographer with Sonography Canada and/or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Registered as a Canadian Registered Vascular Sonographer (CRVS) with Sonography Canada and/or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with ARDMS; if not held at time of hire, must complete the course and registration within 8 months. Current CPR certification required. Knowledge of anatomy, hemodynamics, physiology, and pathophysiology to generate accurate diagnostics. Recent duplex scanning experience preferred. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g., attending rounds and conferences).
