We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Buyer/Planner to join our supply chain/purchasing team. The successful candidate will ensure the business has the right quantity of goods and materials at the right time and cost to meet production and operational needs, leveraging strategic planning, purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relationship management. Responsibilities Drive demand planning through SAP and established MRP processes. Place purchasing orders and follow up with suppliers to meet production schedule. Maintain the integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP. Manage inventory levels (stock, buy-in, VMI, MRO) for reorder. Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover. Review daily and weekly production plans to ensure material availability. Expedite and adjust program according to internal customer requirements. Provide delivery feedback to internal customers and key stakeholders. Monitor, identify, and resolve past due backlog issues proactively. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade compliance procedures. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities as required. Serve as the point of contact for purchasing related inquiries for the categories assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience. 5+ years of procurement experience with demonstrated results. Experience in ERP and MRP (transactional and planning modules). Experience with SAP is an asset. Experience in inventory control. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Effective communication skills in English. Legal authorization to work in Canada without company sponsorship. Skills Strong negotiation skills. Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
