THE ROLE

Boat Rocker Media is seeking a Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs to support a wide range of needs for Business & Legal Affairs across the company. This is an opportunity for a passionate professional who is looking for continual growth. This position is hybrid and requires days working in-office.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete standard forms and perform general contract administration tasks related the company’s business of developing, producing and distributing television and film projects
  • File and track copyright registrations, option dates, and other legal items
  • Research and respond to requests from Business and Legal Affairs and its internal clients
  • Manage calendar and scheduling for the General Counsel and other Business and Legal Affairs executives, setting calls, coordinating meetings, and managing presentation windows in Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Assist with preparation and dissemination of materials for the Company’s board of directors
  • Draft PowerPoint slide decks and other materials for department and Company presentations
  • Manage the electronic filing systems of the Business and Legal Affairs department
  • Provide other administrative and coordination support on general corporate and production ma tters related to Boat Rocker’s business affairs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidate is either a licensed Paralegal/Law Clerk with corporate experience or has at least one year’s experience in Business and Legal Affairs admin in the entertainment industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to handle highly confidential information discretely.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities that may have tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently to manage and prioritize workload, and take initiative
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and efficient
  • Must have substantial experience & a strong grasp of the full MS Office suite including Outlook Exchange, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
