Our expert solutions encompass an array of game-changing technologies, including state-of-the-art sonar, radar, expendables, signature management, and naval power systems.Join us in shaping the future of naval warfare and together, we will safeguard the seas and empower navies worldwideThe Ultra Quality Assurance function is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and fulfilment of Ultra's Quality Policy, which is to comply fully in the conduct of the Company's business with all applicable regulatory and customer required specifications, and to maintain an effective Quality Management System, working in partnership with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that products and processes conform to applicable standards and specifications, and the incidence and costs of quality non-conformances are constantly monitored and improved, while maintaining the highest practicable standards of manufacturing productivity and efficiency.Nationality RequirementsCandidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsible for all assurance activities related to your assigned Project/sResponsible for the effective and timely delivery of Material Review BoardsResponsible for the effective delivery of Non-Conformance Review PanelsEnsure all relevant Project metrics are provided and maintainedWork with your Product / Quality Assurance Manager to ensure Workload forecasts are accounted for and maintainedCreate, review and maintain each project quality planSupport with 1st , 2nd and 3rd party audits & ADHOC as neededAdvocate positive working relationships with the wider audience including customers and supplier assuranceWhere delegated, being the signatory for product assurance within design reviewsEnsure product assurance is represented in all design reviews related to your assigned projectsSupport portfolio specific customer visits including any assessments identified by the customerProvide guidance to your specific project teams on the usage of Ultra’s QMSWhen delegated, being the CofC release signatory for related portfolio project / programsProvide product assurance awareness trainingEnsure risk management and those associated tools are being maintained and reviewed effectivelyCarry out independent assurance assessments against, for example: project plans, safety aspect letter adherence, internal portfolio audits, project maturity assessments, functional capability, control of change management, risk management, control plans, log books, standard operating procedures, equipment calibration, customer contractual adherence….Advocate Product / Quality Assurance and its importance throughout the Ultra groupProactively address customer quality issues and concerns within a cross functional team relating to your projectsRequired SkillsDiploma or Degreed Graduate or Equivalent Work Experience3 plus years Quality experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentAudit experience preferably as a Lead Auditor (ISO9001/AS9100)Experience with responsibility and accountability of Material Review BoardsNon-Conformance Review/DispositionThe successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government NATO Security Clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.Diverse & Inclusive EmployerUltra Maritime is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
