Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system, handle various tenders, and follow company policies.Adhere to cash handling limits and control loss honestly and effectively.Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.Stay current with ads and promotions.Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.Create a welcoming environment for customers.Follow all laws and company guidelines.Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.QualificationsMinimum Position Qualifications:Customer service experienceEffective communication skillsBasic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)Desired Previous Job Experience:Customer service experienceExperience as a Bagger or Courtesy ClerkAbout UsBased in California, Food 4 Less merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.
