Run what runs the world This Position reports to: Engineering Manager In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for the role is: onsite or within a customer office environment. This role is contributing to the PAEN Engineering team in Vancouver. Main stakeholders are PAEN engineering and our local customers in Vancouver. You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements. Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost. Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned. Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects. Qualifications for the role You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with ABB 800xA control systems and the Energy and Waste Water Treatment markets Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 7-10 years of experience in process automation / control systems working as a project engineer with 800xA system systems Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in 800xA engineering tools and systems You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around collaborative team engineering and hands on control system implementations Degree in / Have a demonstrated track record in / Extensive knowledge of / Proven experience of automation engineering in energy industries You are at ease communicating in English You hold current Engineering degree valid in any Canadian Engineering association, preferably EGBC and able to work in Canada Why ABB?
