The Professional Practice Lead will function with a high degree of attention to detail, quality of workmanship, accuracy and ability to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast paced, team setting, often working with competing priorities. We value the unique perspectives each candidate brings to our organization.**What you'll be doing:*** Work collaboratively to identify gaps and needs for corporate education related to Digital Health.* Lead workflow design, stakeholder consultation, and collaboration to inform future state workflows guided by evidence-based practice.* Develop, coordinate, deliver, evaluate and sustain corporate educational initiatives related to professional practice throughout the hospital which support the implementation of interprofessional, evidence-based, patient and family-centred care delivery systems in the context of Digital Health.* Support the development of initiatives that advance corporate and program/service quality and utilization.* Utilize continuous quality improvement and change management methodologies in the analysis, evaluation and monitoring of workflow changes with Digital Health initiatives.* Identify and implement strategies to translate and interpret research findings and theoretical frameworks into practice.* Assist in facilitating an interprofessional collaboration approach to problem-solving and decision-making.* Work with teams to ensure all professional scopes of practice are maximized.* Review and update policies/ procedures/ standards of care to ensure in alignment with best practices and educational programs.* Other duties as assigned.**What you bring:*** Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse strongly preferred.* Bachelor’s Degree required.* Master’s Degree Preferred* Minimum three years acute care clinical experience.* Minimum one year using Meditech EMR for documentation.* Minimum one year experience in a professional practice leadership role, preferred.* Minimum one year experience in providing clinical education and change management support utilizing adult education principles and evidence-based practice preferred.* Membership in professional role-related association preferred.* Demonstrated understanding of interprofessional collaboration and education.* Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication, team building, facilitation, and coaching skills that encourages positive interactions among all members of the health care team.* Proven experience of in the application of project management concepts, knowledge translation and change management preferred.* Proven experience in needs assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.* Proven experience in the planning and implementation of quality improvement projects.* Systems level thinking and ability to think strategically.* Ability to review and critically analyze literature and research and to apply findings and theoretical frameworks into clinical practice and standards of care.* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Patient and Family-Centred Care.* Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical practice leadership.* Ability to work independently, be self-directed and participate in/lead interprofessional teams.* Proven ability to facilitate ongoing staff development.* Demonstrated commitment to professional development.* Demonstrated conflict resolution skills.* Ability to make independent decisions based on knowledge of current situations and sound judgement.* Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.* Ability to manage data to produce statistics, metrics, scorecards and reports required.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong multi-tasking ability.* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.* Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.* Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations with resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced team environment.* Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.* Proven attendance record.Southlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.We are committed to a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier-free.
