This role determines optimal product mix, manages vendor relationships, and collaborates with internal teams (such as Consumer Insights) to ensure assortment optimization, inventory productivity, and alignment with OCS strategic objectives.About Your DayBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships with Licensed Producers (LPs)Define product assortment for assigned categories aligned with corporate strategyLead and evaluate product call submissions using data and standardized criteriaLeverage market trends and industry insight to identify product assortment opportunities and fill gaps in product offeringCollaborate cross-functionally on forecasting, inventory management, logistics, and Quality AssuranceEnsure strategic supply plans meet current and future product demandAnalyze and improve supplier performance and capabilities through strong collaborative partnershipsSchedule and contribute to periodic business reviews that monitor and track supplier performanceAbout YouPost-secondary education in business, marketing, or related field, and/or equivalent experience3 years’ experience in category management. Experience with retail merchandising, eCommerce, and/or wholesale models & inventory management is preferred.1-2 years’ experience in data analytics and product strategyIntermediate - advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including ExcelWorking knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau is preferredStrong analytical, business and financial acumenProven relationship management and decision-making skillsKnowledge of the cannabis industry is preferredTravel Required: Ability to travel throughout the province, for LP site visits as required by business needs (minimum of 2 times per quarter). Locations can be outside of GTA in rural areas, as such reliable transportation is requiredCompensationThe target hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000.
