Security Supervisor - Internal Expressions of Interest

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Security Supervisor to join our team in Downtown Vancouver. This position is ideal for internal applicants who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their current roles and are eager to advance their careers within Securiguard. The Security Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing our security operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and providing leadership and support to our security professionals.

What you would do:

  • Manage and lead a team of security professionals.
  • Provide top quality customer service to all guests and tenants of the building.
  • Train and mentor team members with respect to on-site duties and protocols, as well as site conduct, deportment, reporting procedures, and company policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate the security operations of the building with building operations, tenants, and third parties.
  • Act as Chief Safety Warden during building emergencies.
  • Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action, secure the site as necessary, coordinate with applicable law, fire, medical or site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to.
  • Review security reports in SecuriTrak and investigate incidents, including the review of BMS logs and CCTV.

What you bring:

  • Proven track record of excellence in previous security roles within Securiguard or Westguard, with a demonstrated ability to take on increased responsibilities.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Valid BC Security Workers License
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making abilities, particularly in high pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in security operations, including surveillance systems, access control and emergency response procedures.
