We welcome individuals who are problem-solvers and eager to learn.## ## SummaryHamilton Kent is seeking a **Fabrication Operator – Splicer/Dipper** to join our morning shift team. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality gaskets used in critical infrastructure projects. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure reliable products that make a difference in communities.Splicing involves using heated molds to join the ends of pre-cut rubber strips to form circular gaskets.Location: 77 Carlingview Drive, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9W 5E6Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 3:00pmStarting Salary: $24.24/hour## Key Responsibilities* Maintain a safe and clean work area before starting tasks* Ensure mold temperature is correctly set before splicing* Prepare strips for splicing (dipping, sanding, heating, cleaning ends)* Verify rubber strips for straight cuts and clean ends* Load tape roll into machine and check quality* Operate mold and monitor curing process* Inspect gaskets for defects (cracks, lumps, pinholes)* Inject silicone and check for leaks* Record production data accurately* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals* Perform additional duties as required## ## Requirements* High school diploma or equivalent preferred* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English* Willingness to learn and operate measuring tools (training provided)* Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment## ## Benefits* Inclusive team culture that values respect and collaboration* Life Insurance* Extended Health, Dental, and Vision Care* Retirement Savings Plan## ## Working ConditionsPlant environment with light physical activity (lifting up to 15 lbs, standing, walking).
