Job Details Location: Toronto Corporate Office – servicing our Northwest Ontario branch network and members virtually through phone and video conferencing. Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level Employment Type: Full‑time Job Function: Finance and Sales Scope of Position Based in Toronto, the Wealth Banker will provide investment‑oriented financial advice, facilitate investment sales, consolidate assets, and drive new client acquisition within the North West Ontario region. The role works closely with branch staff, managing a book of business primarily composed of members with multifaceted needs. Key Responsibilities Proactively build solid working partnerships with branch teams to facilitate introductions to existing members/clients. Leverage existing resources to actively contact members (marketing, call lists, referrals). Manage an assigned portfolio of members using financial‑planning concepts and advisory tools to meet investment needs. Establish regularly scheduled contacts with members/clients to identify their needs. Assist members/clients in consolidating their financial assets at the credit union. Enhance the wealth‑management knowledge of branch partners, enabling them to meet member needs and achieve sales/ acquisition targets. Integrate into branch sales teams and add value through regular information sessions. Maintain files on member relationships, including financial goals, notes, and compliance records, and input data into CRM. Collaborate with other specialists (Credit or SME) on assigned member portfolios. Provide financial advice using the PIP (Personal Investment Plan) tool. Act as a mentor for less experienced staff under the guidance of the Branch Manager. Triage referrals when necessary based on the complexity of member/ client requests. Expectations / Outcomes High member satisfaction among the assigned book of business as measured by retention statistics, new sales growth, referrals to wealth advisors, and transfer of high‑value accounts to Investment Advisors. Increase in portfolio value. Increase in member profitability. Referrals to Investment Advisors for complex investment portfolios. Qualifications Post‑secondary education combined with 5 years of related experience in a financial institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CSC or IFIC course completed with the ability to be licensed immediately. CFP or PFP preferred. At least 2 years of financial advisory experience with demonstrated relationship‑building ability. Proven sales track record. Good knowledge of products and services, including credit. Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Proficient in common computer applications (Excel, Word, etc.). Demonstrated sales‑management techniques; ability to identify needs and present solutions. Superior sales abilities (active listening, business opportunity identification, influencing & negotiating, asking for the business). Strong written communication skills to convey detailed factual information to members and partners. Sound judgment. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to continuous learning.
