Overview Building Automation Systems Technician role at Ainsworth Inc (a GDI company). We are currently looking for a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to join our growing team based out of Winnipeg, MB. As a BAS Technician you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of PC fundamentals, PC Networking/LAN, basic electronic theory and Building Electrical/Mechanical systems. Responsibilities Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department. Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems. Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies. Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings. Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals. Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and Building System Integration. Qualifications Valid Driver’s license. Fluent in English – both written and oral. The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation. Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program. Fluent in Microsoft Office. Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
