  • Exercise leadership and initiative in support of the Canadian CC&S team, through identifying and pursuing opportunities and preparing successful proposals to grow our existing pipeline of work.
  • Exercise project leadership via a Project Principal role. This includes supporting project managers and teams to deliver high-quality work and exercise sound commercial awareness.
  • Participate in the wider global community of advisory and climate change consultants within Mott MacDonald, collaborating with colleagues across all Regions.
  • Be a mentor and coach for junior colleagues to build their capabilities and commercial awareness.
  • Together with others in the team, provide thought leadership in the market, prepare materials for and attend industry events, and engage with our clients to share our collective experience.

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role:

  • A post-secondary degree and 12+ years of career experience related to engineering and/or infrastructure (including social infrastructure) development.

  • Demonstrated business development experience with a track record of growing a business and securing and successfully completing CC&S projects.
  • Familiar and proficient with project management principles and processes, including budgeting and managing contractual obligations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team environment.
  • Line managing junior staff and providing oversight and mentorship.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
