Role Description

The Technology Services Division (TSD) is looking for a Manager, Office of the Chief Technology Officer, reporting to the Director, Digital Policy & Office of the Chief Technology Officer. In this pivotal role, you will connect people, projects, and policies, liaising TSD Leadership with executive offices including the City Manager and Deputy City Manager's Office. You will lead the coordination of senior level meetings and support TSD's divisional partners in navigating and coordinating TSD initiatives and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organization: Ensures seamless operations, strategic alignment, and efficient decision-making systems for the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, including managing executive priorities, streamlining workflows, and coordinating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Engagement and Culture: Champion a culture that supports operational and service excellence. Oversee TSD's engagement program that fosters dialogue, performance, collaboration, growth, learning, and development.
  • Communications: Oversee the preparation of detailed reports and presentations that clearly articulate project updates, key initiatives, and strategic recommendations.
  • External Partnerships: Oversee TSD's external engagement program, including City agencies, boards, commissions, associations, and other levels of government. Build strong relationships and facilitate open communication to gain support and resolve issues.

Key Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, with a strong background in leading teams, strategic management, operations management, change management, and communications with technology experience. Experience working in a municipal governance structure and with council members is an asset.

Your ability to gain buy-in and influence support demonstrates your highly developed stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. You bring considerable experience in implementing organizational initiatives and managing large-scale change focused on customer service improvement and organizational culture.
