Your goal will be to drive informed decision-making through business case development, investment analysis, and collaborative engagement with stakeholders. Your success will be measured by your ability to produce accurate financial commentary, guide business performance, and mentor junior staff and non-financial professionals.Kindly note that this is an 18-month fixed term role.**What We Offer:*** **Work Environment -** Work onsite in our beautiful home office building with access to a full fitness facility, onsite nurse, and a café* **Competitive Compensation –** Including a parking allowance* **Flexible Benefits Plan -** Including medical and dental benefits that are both in effect from day one* **Wellness Support** – With 24/7 access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program* **Opportunity to give back to some amazing causes in our community –** Choose when and where to make an impact with a paid volunteer day, company volunteer opportunities, and a donation matching program**Your Responsibilities:*** Produce financial reports and support analysis for the corporate teams, specifically but not limited to the Information Technology team* Support preparation of forecasts through regular engagement with stakeholders* Produce stewardship reports, variance analysis and financial/operational commentary* Provide primary support for the preparation of the annual business plan* Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required* Support business case development and investment analysis* Business performance analysis* Mentoring and coaching more junior employees and non-financial professionals**Professional Skills:*** Strong analytical skills and good presentation skills* Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines* Strong attention to detail**Your Experience:*** Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with a minimum 3 years of experience working in finance or accounting* Excellent knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (create, populate, update)* Experience in Cognos/TM1 is an asset*Irving Oil is committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
