Position: Senior Manager of Consumables ManufacturingJoin to apply for the Senior Manager of Consumables Manufacturing role at Bio-TechnePay Range$124,600.00 - $204,850.00Position SummaryWe are a high-growth, fast-paced growing business that manufactures consumables cartridges used in protein research and bio-pharma drug discovery & quality control. We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead the manufacturing organization driving and sustaining continuous improvement activities. You will be responsible for delivering significant immediate top-line revenue growth, while improving quality, improving delivery performance, and managing cost. You will also be responsible for building and executing a longer-term plan to match future capacity and organizational strength (people/process) with future demand needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvocate / mentor and implement using Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Design for Manufacturability philosophies to support and sustain the manufacturing operation.Develop & hire a world-class manufacturing team to support short and long-term business needs. Build on a culture of continuous improvement and Bio-Techne’s EPIC Values.Implement best practices for the production and testing of consumables.Lead through influence. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, including engineering, finance, HR, supply chain other company plants, customer service, and QA teams.Build and execute short-term and long-term capacity plans for hiring and capital spending, including designing and installing automation where sensible.Apply ISO9001 Quality Management System standards and requirements for release of biotech products.Provide leadership to production personnel in process improvement and good manufacturing practices.Lead production organization in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation.Assure product and process quality, including post-customer delivery, by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.Analyze assembly/test procedures and methods for process quality improvementEnsure efficient and accurate NPI transfers into production.Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.Prepare summaries of product build cycles, yields, defects and issues.Develop and evaluate manufacturing processes for design and improvement by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with internal process engineering management.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering or business. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.Minimum 10 years of experience managing manufacturing operations with direct experience managing resources in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or quality engineering.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesProven ability to execute multiple priorities simultaneously using critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams with experience in a rapidly growing business.Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and demonstrated action-oriented, results-driven approach to quality.
