PositionEngineer-in-Training, Mining EngineeringCompanyGibraltar Mines LimitedLocationMcLeese Lake, BCReporting RelationshipSenior EngineerSalary Range$92,100 to $115,200Websitehttps://www.tasekomines.comCompany Background and CultureWith headquarters in Vancouver, Canada, Taseko Mines Limited is a leading North American copper producer known for operational efficiency, low energy and GHG intensity, environmentally sound development, and safe workplaces and communities.The company's main asset is the Gibraltar copper mine in British Columbia, a state-of-the-art, large-scale open-pit mine producing copper and molybdenum, with reserves for over 20 years of operation.Other projects include the Florence Copper Project in Arizona, a sustainable in-situ copper recovery operation, and the Yellowhead Project in BC, a long-term copper development project.Taseko aims to grow sustainably through developing high-quality mineral assets and is seeking qualified applicants to join their team.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the Engineer-In-Training rotation, including roles in Ore Control, Drill/Blast, Dispatch, Dewatering, and Planning.Collaborate with site departments to meet mine engineering and operational objectives.Monitor and report on mine KPIs.Analyze production data and recommend improvements.Assess new equipment, technologies, and processes for potential implementation.Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents as needed.Ensure compliance with Mines Act, permits, regulations, and policies.Contribute to the development and enforcement of company policies related to Mine Engineering.Professional Experience / QualificationsRegistration as an EIT with a recognized Professional Engineering Association.Knowledge of mining processes.EducationBachelor of Engineering in Mining or related field.The CommunityWilliams Lake serves a population of approximately 12,000, with a regional service area of about 25,000.Recreational activities include sports leagues, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, paddling, camping, and skiing.CompensationWe offer a challenging and rewarding work environment with opportunities for career growth, development, and education.
