Sr. Manager, Software Engineering (Cloud) OpenText is seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering (Cloud) based in Richmond Hill, Canada. The OCP Platform team is looking for an experienced and visionary leader to drive the development and delivery of cloud-native Information Management Services and SaaS applications, in partnership with Product Management, Architecture and Cloud Operations. Your Impact The Senior Manager will lead the Platform Engineering teams to ensure technical quality, on-time delivery, and efficient use of resources. You will shape and execute the product strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and drive delivery of the platform APIs and SaaS offerings. You will also help evolve the platform’s AI-led engineering strategy and advance our multi-tenant, cloud-native architecture. Strategic Leadership: Define and articulate the long-term vision and strategy for the cloud platform and services. API & Service Design: Oversee the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure API services for multi-tenant SaaS applications, with monetization considerations as appropriate. Product Delivery: Drive end-to-end lifecycle of cloud services from concept to deployment and optimization, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality targets; foster customer relationships and process improvements. AI-Led Evolution: Lead the adoption of AI within product teams to improve productivity and integration into platform architecture and services. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, Release Management, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption across business units. Technology & Architecture: Provide technical leadership on cloud-native technologies, architectures, and best practices to keep the platform modern and competitive. Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead engineers and product professionals; support career development and delivery methodologies. Financial Management: Manage budgets and resource allocation for the team and projects. Risk Management: Identify and resolve risks and impediments to delivery. What You Need To Succeed Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science or equivalent experience, including management experience. Proven experience delivering and managing large-scale, multi-tenant, cloud-native platforms or SaaS applications; familiarity with DevSecOps practices (GitLab/GitHub). Expertise in SaaS/Cloud development, Kubernetes, and hyperscalers (GCP/AWS/Azure). Experience with cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong JAVA application design and development experience, including Spring Framework/SpringBoot and API-first development. Agile project management experience and delivery capabilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in a cloud environment.
