Reporting to the President of OGI, this executive role will be instrumental in shaping the company’s future, driving profitable growth, and expanding its national presence across seven Canadian branches. The VP will lead pricing and risk management strategies, delivering actionable insights to senior management, collaborating closely with IT, Corporate Actuarial, Reinsurance, and branch leadership teams, and ensuring that all initiatives support the company’s growth objectives, strong underwriting culture, and long‑term financial performance.At OGI, you’ll find more than just a role—you’ll have the opportunity to build a meaningful, long‑term career in an environment that values collaboration, professionalism, and service excellence. Here, your expertise is recognized, your ideas are encouraged, and your impact can truly be felt.Main ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and oversee actuarial pricing across the pan‑Canadian market, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Serve as a key member of the senior management team, contributing to strategic decision‑making and enterprise‑level initiatives.Lead, mentor, and develop the actuarial team to deliver high‑quality analyses and actionable insights.Define and implement pricing and risk management strategies to ensure profitability, portfolio growth, and adherence to underwriting rules.Collaborate with IT, Corporate Actuarial, Reinsurance, and branch leadership teams to ensure pricing models and tools support business objectives.Monitor emerging market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform actuarial strategies.Lead the development and enhancement of actuarial models, rating tools, and analytics to drive data‑informed decisions.Business & Strategic ImpactPartner with senior leadership to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.Influence company‑wide strategy through thought leadership and actionable recommendations.Build strong relationships with branch leaders, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies meet market needs.Promote operational excellence by implementing best practices, process improvements, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations.Experience / EducationBachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related disciplineFellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designationMinimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the property and casualty insurance industryProven leadership experience with demonstrated success in managing actuarial teams, driving operational excellence, and supporting business strategyRequired SkillsResults‑driven leader with strategic judgment and executive influenceStrong decision‑maker with understanding of business priorities and risk trade‑offsConfident presenter to senior leadership, boards, and external stakeholdersExpertise in risk management, pricing strategy, and Canadian P&C insuranceSolid business acumen with knowledge of core business and financial principlesSkilled in defining enterprise strategies and driving process improvementsProven ability to lead, inspire, and mobilize high‑performing teamsExceptional written and verbal communication in French and English.
