OverviewDirector, North America PR at lululemon. Role focuses on developing and executing a Consumer-facing communications strategy to support the Americas and Global Guest Innovation division, enhancing brand reputation and visibility in North America.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and guide the external Consumer media strategy and execution for North America to introduce lululemon to new guests and position the brand as a premium performance brand with influencers and culture drivers.Oversee and manage the relationship with the external PR agency, providing strategic direction, setting objectives, and ensuring seamless execution of campaigns, activations, and always-on messaging that align to North America’s brand objectives.Develop and execute comprehensive earned PR strategies tied to key campaign moments and product launches, driving the process from ideation through to implementation to maximize media coverage and brand visibility.Cultivate earned media opportunities by fostering relationships with influencers and journalists to share the brand story in culturally resonant ways and maintain cultural relevance.Support in the region during crisis situations, working with peers across communications, legal, brand and people and culture.Collaborate with corporate communications, global and regional consumer PR, and internal communications to ensure a consistent brand voice externally.Co-create with Social, Partnerships, and Sports Marketing to develop proactive Consumer-facing moments and activations that build brand energy; regularly report on key indicators to show impact.Manage and build a regional team to support internal communications, PR, and corporate communications priorities over time.Qualifications12 to 15 years of experience in communications roles of increasing responsibility within external and internal communications; fashion or retail experience preferred.Ability to articulate and co-create strategies with a wide range of stakeholders, including C-suite executives.Demonstrated success guiding communications strategies for major brands and managing a wide number of external agencies, consultants, and contractors.Proven experience leading and developing a team and creating opportunities for growth.Proven ability to develop forward-looking communications and business strategies in competitive, dynamic situations.Experience collaborating with high-profile talent; excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Able to develop relationships across cultures and geographies; naturally inspires others; committed to learning and personal growth.Bachelor’s degree in communications or related discipline; fluent in English.Must HavesAcknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.Entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of innovation to achieve results.Communicate with honesty and kindness and create space for others to do the same.Lead with courage and foster trusting relationships by putting people first.Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working.Compensation and BenefitsThe typical hiring range for this position is CAD 157,400 – 206,600 annually; base pay varies by location and experience. Eligible for annual bonus program and equity offerings per program eligibility.
