We’re seeking a seasoned leader who can mobilize internal and external stakeholders to identify, activate, and scale solutions that strengthen community resilience across Canada. This role calls for a collaborative, purpose‑driven leader who understands the influence a market leader can have in society. You anticipate societal trends through experience and data, and craft tailored responses that advance our Purpose—helping people, businesses, and society. You bring a proven record of designing and activating bespoke programs and partnerships nationwide, balancing business objectives with societal impact. The person in this role will thrive on driving change, challenge the status quo, and energize others with a can‑do mindset. What You’ll Lead Here Lead the evolution and execution of Intact’s Building Resilient Communities strategy in Canada, overseeing a $25M partnership and program portfolio. Use data‑driven insights to spot emerging trends, set benchmarks, and continuously outperform on social impact. Direct accountability for Intact’s flagship climate resilience investment—the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation at the University of Waterloo. Develop and manage KPIs, strengthen organizational capacity, and partner with Intact’s climate team and internal experts to translate research into operational practice across the company and society. Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team across Toronto and Montreal. Mentor and inspire talent, invest in leadership development, keep the team ahead of societal trends, and champion diversity to drive performance and professional growth. Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Distribution, HR, and other key teams to leverage resilience and generosity agendas to advance business objectives. Identify activation opportunities, secure stakeholder buy‑in, and scale programs and partnerships. Engage Canadian leadership to set performance targets and transparently communicate progress and impact. Lead cross‑functional initiatives, including partnership launches, milestone events, and employee volunteering programs. Advise senior executives on strategic volunteering and societal engagement to maximise reputation, impact, and alignment with business priorities. Establish and oversee governance for charitable and NGO partnerships across Intact Canada, including due diligence, risk management, and best‑in‑class partnership management. What You Bring Minimum 12 years national‑scale experience in social impact, community investment, sustainability, sponsorships, and/or partnership management – required. Minimum 5 years leading and managing high‑performing professionals, including people managers – required. Exceptional strategic thinker with a bias for action; adept at translating trends and data into insights that drive strategy and measurable outcomes. Deep expertise in partnership management, including capacity building, activation, and performance management. Proven stakeholder leadership: influence without formal authority, mobilise cross‑functional teams and external partners across time zones. Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills; comfortable navigating multiple deadlines and competing demands, with flexibility for peak periods. Bilingualism (English–French) required, as you will interact regularly with colleagues across Canada.
