Position: Millwright
Job type: Full-time, perm
Shift: Day (7:30 AM - 4 PM)
Location: Elmira, ON
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the Elmira facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, that is in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.
- Taking corrective action, where necessary, that is in compliance with corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.
- Providing support for all personnel involved in the maintenance and production of the facility, property and buildings; and ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives.
- Railcar connecting and sealing
- Replacing/repairing/fabricating all types of mechanical and/ or electrical equipment, providing practical and economical services to increase productivity, including repair/replacement of defective equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, hoses etc.)
- Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures
- Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections
Requirements:
- Certified licensed Millwright (Preferred)
- 3+ years of work-related experience, preferably including the following trades: plumbing; machinery; pipe fitting; mechanical, welding.
- Strong knowledge of federal/provincial environmental, and health and safety legislation
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and manuals
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
