We are seeking a talented and motivated PLC programmer to be a vital part of our Electrical Engineering team. If you have a passion for programming, we want to hear from youThis is a full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. The day shift is Monday to Friday, with some overtime. Responsible for all aspects of programming for Angstrom Engineering®systems including machine start-up and testingStrong knowledge of PLC programming, including ladder logic, function blocks and structured textServo programming, integration and tuning experienceFamiliar with EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, RS232 and other communication platformsUnderstanding of code versioningAbility to read, follow and understand electrical schematicsResourceful and the ability to work and grow independentlyAble to troubleshoot and solve technical problemsSpecific Responsibilities & ExpectationsAbility to translate customer needs into software requirements and codeDevelop and maintain the Angstrom Engineering Software ProductsDevelop and program effective, logical and reusable PLC codeConfigure and generate Angstrom’s software packageIntegrate and verify all operational aspects of system are to specificationSupport the test and process team in configuring and debugging the softwareSuggest modifications or changes to standards and procedures for continuous improvement initiativesQualificationsEducationPost-secondary degree in software/electrical engineering or equivalent.What Makes This A Great RoleJoin a winning team and be part of an agile and growing business with a workforce of exceptional people.Contribute to the growth of the business through a variety of exciting projectsWe have been in business for more than 30 years with a solid reputation in our industry and the RegionWe offer flexible hours and a competitive compensation package including benefits.Why Angstrom Engineering®At Angstrom Engineering®, we develop products and services focused on supporting the nanotechnology community.
