For more information, visit: https://www.brookfield.com/our-businesses/infrastructure**Role Overview**Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Taxation, the newly created position will primarily focus on (i) European M&A transactions; (ii) European portfolio tax management; (iii) tax compliance, accounting and reporting; (iv) tax planning and (v) risk management. This is primarily a transactions-focused role and involves working closely with the Brookfield teams responsible for investments, legal, capital markets and portfolio management. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development and growth as a tax professional in a highly dynamic and challenging work environment.**Key Responsibilities**· Manage external service providers for tax due diligence and tax structuring for European M&A transactions· Provide support to Brookfield team members on transaction tax aspects, including but not limited to, tax model inputs, review of legal documents and structuring decisions· Provide support to portfolio group tax teams during transactions and reporting processes· Review of quarterly tax provision packages prepared by European portfolio companies· Ensure timely tax filings for all European subsidiaries including corporation tax returns, country-by-country reporting notifications, Pillar 2 submissions and EU Mandatory Disclosure Regime· Manage tax audits and respond to tax queries from European tax authorities· Assist with the preparation of steps and funds flows for acquisitions, disposals, cash repatriations, equity injections and other cash flows· Maintain compliance with tax risk management policy and transfer pricing policies· Provide ongoing support to Finance, Treasury and Legal teams globally to ensure proper maintenance of holding and financing structures· Identification of and execution on European tax planning opportunities· Assist other members of the global tax team on various initiatives**Technical Skills**· Qualified ACA (or equivalent) with transaction/M&A tax experience in a Big 4 accounting firm and /or in industry with a multinational corporate group· 4-7 years PQE· Experienced in transactions work, M&A, tax due diligence and structuring· Experience of cross-border tax issues and strong technical knowledge of UK tax rules· Communication of complex tax matters and issues in a clear and concise manner to different stakeholders· Good understanding of and experience with tax accounting under IFRS· Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment· Excellent project management skills and applies a pragmatic and efficient approach to handling complex assignments#LI-GJ1Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
