Senior Financial Analyst ***This position is in Ottawa and requires relocation to the Ottawa-Gatineau area*** Pay range: $85,000.00/year - $95,000.00/year. Industries: Investment Management and Energy Technology. Our client within the energy & asset management industry is seeking a strong Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team. In this role, you will assist with daily accounting operations, including preparing and reviewing ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, sales tax compliance, and other related duties. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and review of the corporate monthly and quarterly reporting package which includes financial statements and support for note disclosures. Analyzing the impact to the financial statements, liaising with capital markets team, preparing the quarterly journal entries, and analyzing against comparative periods to identify variances and anomalies. Preparation and review of non-audited legal entity financial statements submitted on a quarterly basis. Support internal and external reporting audits and assist with ad-hoc requests as required. Assist with other accounting related projects and functions as required. Present various analyses and reports for senior management, such as operating metrics and corporate financial results to support their business decision-making. Preparation and review of monthly close processes including corporate accounting entries, period-end accruals and reconciliations. Assist in preparing consolidated financial forecasts, tracking global operating results of subsidiaries and articulating these results to key stakeholders. Continuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our framework. Ad-hoc analyses in support of the senior management team. Skills and experiences: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline Public accounting experience highly preferred CPA or CPA in-progress strongly preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel using pivot tables and v-lookups Experience using ERP software – SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics suite Personal attributes: Team player with a positive “can-do” attitude Ability to work autonomously with little direction Ability to upward manage hiring manager overseeing project delivery Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills WHY IMAGINE?
