Posted onJanuary 08, 2026 by Employer details M2 Financial Solutions senior accountant We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting practice. This is a full-time, permanent role offering varied, engaging work in a comfortable office with a friendly and hardworking team. The ideal candidate will have strong public accounting experience, excellent technical skills, and enjoy working with a diverse client base. Responsibilities Accounting & Compliance: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and summaries with accuracy and timeliness Prepare corporate compilation year-end files Perform account and bank reconciliations to ensure data integrity Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities Troubleshoot, locate and correct errors in client bookkeeping records Maintain a working knowledge of Ontario payroll laws and compliance requirements Tax & Year-End: Prepare and file HST, Payroll, EHT and WSIB returns Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns Personal and corporate tax planning Prepare trust returns for estates Prepare T4 and T5 slips Client Engagement: Work with a diverse group of clients across multiple industries Qualifications 5+ years of public accounting or relevant accounting experience preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Excel and Microsoft Word Strong knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping, payroll and tax compliance Experience with professional tax preparation software Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast‑paced environment Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA designation or CPA‑track candidate considered an asset What We Offer Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and credentials.
