Our client is seeking a Risk Manager to support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across large-scale projects within the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. This is an existing vacancy and plays a critical part in ensuring strong project governance, informed decision-making, and successful project delivery. This is a key role within the project delivery environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to embed risk management best practices throughout the full project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings international project exposure, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead risk management processes in complex, fast-paced environments. This opportunity is well suited for an experienced risk professional looking to make a meaningful impact on major capital projects while working closely with senior project stakeholders. What You’ll Accomplish in This Role Risk Management Leadership Develop and implement risk management plans aligned with project and client objectives. Facilitate threat and opportunity identification workshops, decision analysis sessions, and hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZAN). Establish, maintain, and continuously update project risk registers. Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and recommend practical, effective mitigation strategies. Monitoring, Reporting & Governance Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and prepare regular risk reports for project leadership. Participate in project start-up and close-out reviews, quality audits, and independent risk reviews. Ensure alignment with international risk management standards, including ISO 31000, ISO 31010, and PRAM. Collaboration & Capability Building Partner with engineering, construction, procurement, and planning teams to integrate risk management across all project phases. Train and support project teams on risk management tools, processes, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s risk management culture. You’ll Bring Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or related roles, including at least 3 years on international projects. Strong knowledge of risk analysis tools, methodologies, and frameworks. Experience supporting EPCM or large‑scale capital projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and risk management software (Predict, CURA, ARM, or similar). Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project environments. Why This Opportunity?
