Possible, dependent on performanceNumber of Positions: 1Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/weekReason: Temporary Increased Workforce NeedThe OpportunityWe are seeking a UI/UX Developer to join our Canadian Artificial Intelligence Team (AIT) and lead the design and development of user interfaces that bring our Generative AI solutions to life. This role will focus on building three distinct dashboards and applications tailored for different user groups: end users, team leaders, and internal developers. You’ll work closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure that AI outputs are accessible, actionable, and visually intuitive.Typical Day in RoleDesign and develop three user interfaces:End User Dashboard: Simplified, task-focused interface for interacting with AI outputs.Leader Dashboard: Aggregated insights and performance metrics for team oversight.Developer Dashboard: Monitoring tools for solution performance, usage, and feedback loops.Build applications using Power BI for data visualization and Power Apps for interactive workflows and forms.Experience with Power Automate, custom connectors, or embedding Power BI in web apps.Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate model outputs into user-friendly formats.Ensure UI components are responsive, accessible, and optimized for performance across devices.Translate business requirements into intuitive design elements and workflows.Implement role-based access and security protocols across all interfaces.Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback from stakeholders.Maintain documentation and provide training/support for end users and internal teams.Candidate Requirements / Must Have Skills3+ years of experience in UI/UX development, preferably in enterprise or data-driven environments.Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, custom visuals) and Power Apps (Canvas apps, connectors, automation).Experience integrating AI/ML outputs into dashboards or applications – Including Structured and Non-Structured Data.Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Dataverse, SharePoint, Teams).Understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.Ability to work cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Nice-To-Have SkillsFamiliarity with front-end development languages and frameworks. JavaScript or similar.Exposure to Generative AI or previous involvement in AI-related projects.EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceBest vs. AverageIdeal Candidate: Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering Power BI and Power Apps solutions, including integration between platforms. Able to clearly articulate past project delivery, including technical decisions and outcomes. Comfortable with execution-focused roles, not just strategy or leadership.Not a Fit: Candidates who primarily operate in a leadership or oversight capacity without recent hands-on delivery experience.
