This role is ideal for a seasoned transportation engineer with a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving public safety.Reporting to the Vice President, Transportation and Safety Engineering, the successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of transportation and municipal engineering projects in both public and private sectors. The position involves consulting with clients, conducting site inspections, reviewing documentation, and delivering civil and forensic engineering services with a focus on :Roadway design and constructionRoadway winter maintenance and planningRoad safety audits and investigationsKey Responsibilities :Lead and manage transportation engineering projects with a focus on municipal roads and safetyConduct detailed site / forensic examinations / investigations and technical analysisLead forensic assessments related to road design, construction, winter maintenance, and road safety auditsProviding expert analysis and recommendations in complex engineering assignments in road design, construction practices, and safetyPerform road safety audits / investigations, collision analysis (vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists), and proactive safety reviews for municipal and highway road networksReview engineering drawings and specifications for compliance with transportation standards, regulations, and transportation / civil engineering guidelinesCollaborate with clients, legal teams, and stakeholders to deliver clear, evidence-based insights and reportsAct as Project Manager, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and budget managementPrepare technical reports, proposals, and client presentationsProvide mentorship, guidance, and technical oversight to junior and intermediate staffAttend and contribute to client, stakeholder, and public meetingsCommunicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesSupport business development efforts by identifying private and public sector opportunities, preparing proposals, and maintaining strong client relationshipsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications :Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Transportation Engineering or related field (Master’s an asset)Professional Engineer ( designationyears of progressive experience in transportation consulting engineering, with direct municipal and highways project experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of municipal transportation standards, policies, and approval processesExperience with municipal and highway road design-review / construction / maintenance, road safety audits / assessments, transportation master plans, traffic operations studies, active transportation, and transit infrastructure projectsStrong project management, communication, and client engagement skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while managing multiple assignmentsWhat we offer :Competitive salary that is line with our defined pay structureOpportunity to earn annual bonusFlexible hoursHybrid remote work along with a variety of virtual and in-person events to help drive business and also connect with your colleaguesExtended Health & DentalEmployee and Family Assistance Program (for employee and dependents)Learning & DevelopmentCoverage of relevant certificationsWellness subsidyOur Mission :We are problem solvers.
